Militant, solider killed in ongoing encounter in Jammu’s Doda district | KNO

Srinagar, May 17 (KNO): An unidentified militant and soldier has been killed in an ongoing encounter in Gundna area of Doda district in Jammu region, police officials said. A gunfight started early morning today in Jammu’s Doda district after security forces received a specific information about the presence of a few militants in the area. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu region, Mukesh Singh told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that one militant has been killed, and another is holed up. “A soldier was critically injured as well,” he said. Defence Spokesman in Jammu Colonel Anand confirmed that a soldier was also killed in the ongoing encounter. A police spokesman said that in the ensuing encounter, one unidentified militant has been killed while as the operation was on—(KNO)
